Eurizons

Eurizons 2007, is the involvement of 50 young
people from 15 European countries that promotes the objectives
of the millennium of the development initiated by the UN in 2000
which aim is to eradicate poverty and create a global partnership
between Europeans and citizens from developing countries (www.un.org/french/millenniumgoals).
On August 21, these young people, mainly from eastern countries,
from Germany and from France will go on a trip, hitchhiking, in
order to traval 3000km before arriving to their finale destination
: the European Parliament in Brussels on September 13. This tour
which is organized by the European Association network GLEN (www.glen-europe.org)
will stop in 8 European cities where the local Non-governmental
organizations organize educative, intercultural and festive activities
: Riga (Latvia), Krakow (Poland), Bratislava ( Slovakia), Prague
(Czech Republic), Fribourg (Germany), Bāle (Switzerland), Brussels
(Belgium) and above all Nancy on September, 8 and 9 where they'll
join the Aye Aye. Come along and meet them : your action is worthwhile.

A dynamic film on the 2006 Eurizons Project : 50 hitchhikers meeting their fellow-citizens. From car chatting to sensitization actions during various events, from concerts to educative games, you'll find the hitchhikers' testimonies and will share their rewarding experience. From Riga to Strasbourg via Sopron travel in a ludic way for a great cause : the solidarity between all the people and the goals of the development of the millennium. Screening of the 30 min film, screening of other filmographic memories from cooperative projects with Africa and a casual talk with some of the hitchhikers will be organized.
